We are presently looking for a Team Leader, European Images, Europe.
Directs European Rich Media operations of European market(s), organizing the work flows and overseeing performance of team members. Guide staff to overcome operational problems or address questions regarding content. Procure and ensure quality and timely delivery of European programme images.
• Oversees the organization of work flow and personnel in the most efficient manner, relative to cost, time and accuracy. • Troubleshoots queries from clients. • Collaborates closely with the technical operations staff to ensure to ensure support and feature development for all tools required by the image team. • Provides internal and external customer service outside regular business hours as part of the on-call editorial team. • Provide leadership for the European image team for day-to-day operations and customer projects in accordance with established goals and budgets. • Leads the team by: directing workflow, updating and training new team members, communicating and troubleshooting issues. • Conduct annual and non-scheduled performance appraisals to provide employees with ongoing feedback. • Drafts strategy on how to best secure and edits images for high-profile European markets and/or clients. This involvement will include communicating and establishing procedures and building relationships with broadcasters via email and telephone. • Represents Rich Media when addressing issues concerning product content and imagery policies internally or externally with clients. • Identifies trends and efficiencies and alerts staff and/or other Editorial teams as appropriate. • Actively involved in the recruitment of new staff. • Other duties as assigned.
• Candidate must be fluent in English and at least one other European language. • University degree in Communications/Media-related field, or 3 years of relevant experience. • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. • Must have a minimum of two years' experience in managing processes, projects or staff. • Windows proficiency is a must. • Solid leadership skills expected. • Thorough knowledge of television industry preferred.
• Image Editors and Senior Image Editors will report into this position. • No revenue or budgetary responsibility applies to this role.
