Passionate about strategy, mergers and acquisitions for one of the global Online Classifieds marketplace leaders with $800 million in revenues? Our global eBay Classifieds Group headquarters are based in Amsterdam, where you will be part of the Global Strategy and M&A team.
You will work with a dedicated team of professionals focusing on corporate Strategy for the Group. You will lead key cross-functional projects with mandates from the Group CFO and the wider executive leadership team, setting and implementing the group’s organic and inorganic strategy. Projects include detailed reviews of the group’s strategy, 3 year strategic plans, ad-hoc special projects, review competitive and industry changes, benchmarking and M&A including valuations, due diligence and integration where needed. Key stakeholders are the eCG executive leadership team, and eBay Inc. corporate functions such as corporate development
Lead and coordinate strategic projects for eCG CEO and CFO with teams consisting of colleagues at eCG group level and stakeholders throughout the broader organization.
You will lead and execute strategic analyses, business case creation including M&A, and presenting recommendations to senior leaders
You will be pro-active in driving the strategic agenda for the Group through insights on industry trends, opportunities from local markets
You will support the global classifieds executive leadership team with strategy reviews and implementation, project management, internal operating reviews and ad-hoc (financial) analyses
You are fluent in English, an excellent communicator with experience in influencing in complex international environments
You are pragmatic and creative in solving issues, and get energy from driving change in the business
You are excellent at influencing both upwards, sideways and down across teams and time zones in a high growth environment. You easily switch between executing work yourself, and getting support from others
You have 5+ years’ post-MBA experience, ideally in a first-tier strategy consulting firm with a focus on Technology, Media or Telecoms. Or you have 7+ years’ experience in blue chip corporate strategy with exposure to M&A
Experience with strategy implementation and M&A integration preferred
You have excellent business modelling skills, experience with valuation modelling, methodologies and due diligence is a plus. You have excellent presentation skills
You have worked internationally and have experience with working, and influencing across geographies and managing global projects. You enjoy a reasonable amount of travel for work
You are experienced in developing strong constructive professional relationships and influencing peers, managers, business unit leaders and other teams
You have a natural interest or experience in Internet, Technology, Media
