Job Description / Information

Job´s mission:

Satisfies customer demand by monitoring and driving accountability to the committed supply plan for finished goods suppliers. Proactively identifies, reports,and escalates constraints within the end-to-end Supply Chain which will impact Customer Service levels. Coordinates the activities with manufacturing plants and finished goods suppliers to maintain inventory at planned levels. Monitors supplier on-time delivery of finished goods inventory while ensuring availability of materials in line with planned requirements. Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient direct procurement activities.

Systems Knowledge

  • Issue suggested purchase orders based upon MRP system suggestions.

  • Request changes to purchase order dates from suppliers based upon MRP system suggestions to fulfill customer demand.

  • Update MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected finished goods inventory stocking.

  • Update MRP system to ensure stocking priority of finished goods products according to business rules.

  • Issue purchase orders to support engineering changes.

  • Maintain item master detail in accordance with established business rules.

  • Manage ERP system alerts and troubleshoot issues related to purchasing receipts, supplier on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy.

  • Create and maintain scheduling agreements and supplier data within ERP system.

  • Maintain ASN creation and receipt process for finished goods within ERP system; create ASNs as required.

  • Manage purchase requisition process for reverse logistics / vendor returns.

  • Facilitate set-up of new finished goods products in support of New Product Development and M&A integration projects.

Customer Management

  • Update the business on the status and direction of your business on a weekly basis.

  • Update internal customers on key supply chain issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Coordinate engineering changes between internal customers and suppliers.

  • Facilitate New Product Development process with internal stakeholders to support on-time product launch.

Supplier Management

  • Update purchase orders based on supplier commitments.

  • Monitor supplier inventory levels to maintain continuity of supply and safety stock attainment.

  • Understand and report on committed supply plan attainment.

  • Serve as single point of contact for finished goods suppliers for end-to-end supply chain issues that may impact on-time delivery and plan attainment.

  • Sustain or improve OTD and SS% performance through regular performance reviews with suppliers.

  • Hold suppliers accountable to mutually agreed upon supplier held safety stock levels.

Data Analytics

  • Use data analytics to expose and address the gaps in the committed supply plan for finished goods suppliers.

  • Evaluate and prioritize ERP system alerts to troubleshoot issues related to supplier on-time delivery.

  • Apply problem-solving and root-cause analysis methodology and tools to effectively identify and resolve process and/or system-related issues.

Process Development

  • Refine current processes to better accommodate current business.

  • Develop and implement new processes to better support business changes.

  • Own and develop direct procurement procedures.

  • Utilize cross-functional influence to improve end-to-end supply chain processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline.

  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Must be proficient with PCs.

  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in the areas of purchasing, planning, and/or supply chain.

  • 2-5 years of Manufacturing purchasing and/or production planning experience preferred.

  • Preferred Functional skills – MRP, Purchasing system/procedures, Supplier Management, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Management.
