The Solution Executive forms a strong team with Account Executives and inside (pre-)sales and is responsible for translating customer needs around (Connected) Mobility, Storage/Big Data and (Private)Cloud into concrete solutions based on DellEMC’s wide and industry leading server, storage, networking solutions, (Security) Services and strategic partner solutions of i.e. Microsoft, VMware and OpenStack.
Managing the process of identifying, qualifying and translating the client’s business requirements into specific solutions and IT roadmap (strategic IT plan of customer) in close cooperation with subject matter experts and channel/strategic partners.
Having CxO/Director level conversations and has the ability to influence their point of view
Develop strong relationships and is being perceived as trusted advisor.
Bridging our customers’ business value of ICT solutions (what is does/solves) to how it works (technical) and is leading the virtual team of Subject Matter Experts during the sales cycle.
Professional presence and vocabulary and has, develops and maintains a powerful network in- and outside Dell (customers, alliances, channel partners).
Responsible for the integrity of the solution by adequate requirement capturing and solutions scoping principles to serve a long term trusted relationship with our customer.
Requirements and preferences
Bachelor or Master degree
Evangelist, great presenting skills and able to lead conversations
Own Point of view and vision on IT industry
Good understanding of datacenter technology – (web-scale & hyper converged) server, storage, networking solutions, virtualization, software defined X, OS, Applications, Security, DC facilities) and able to design high-level infrastructures and IT roadmaps
Good understanding of (business)processes and people/end-users
Self-starter and –motivator
Conducts customer needs analysis and project scoping
Experienced as a (pre-sales) consultant within same industry and software and/or services arena is a pre.
Experienced as IT director/manager or Program Manager is a pre.
Focuses on delivering a positive customer experience according to DellEMC standards.
Builds strong customer relationships
Strategic customer approach (plan and execute)
Able to help customers with solutions that exactly meet their needs (integrity of solution)
