DNV GL Smart Cable Guard Data Engineer in Arnhem, Netherlands
We are looking for a Smart Cable Guard Data Engineer to strengthen our team in Arnhem advising clients on the condition of their underground cables.
Smart Cable Guard (SCG) is an online multi-functional monitoring system for MV power cable networks. The system has two unique functions: detect and locate weak spots and detect and locate faults in underground power cables. The automated system immediately gives a warning when problems arise. Your tasks and responsibilities:
As SCG Data Engineer you will be responsible for remotely monitoring the Smart Cable Guard systems in the field. You will keep track of all occurring issues and are the first point of contact to the customer. You will also play an important role in analyzing the data and advising customers.
Next to that, you will:
Provide support during installation of a new SCG system in the field
Provide support to our sales team launching SCG at new customers
Keep track of issues and arrange feedback to our customers on resolutions
Maintain our worldwide database with SCG systems
Come up with ideas for improving efficiency and processes and share them with the development team
What we are asking:
A team player who beside engineering has excellent communication skills to service our SCG customers around the globe.
You have successfully finished a Bachelor in Electrical engineering or related technical study
Have strong analytical skills
You have a good understanding of databases and IT platforms
Your verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English are strong
You are interested in electrical power systems
You are pro-active, flexible and handle working under pressure
You are curious, interested and engaged
