You will be challenged to strengthen and support the software engineering teams with brain- and man- power to ensure timely releasing of high quality products, systems and services to ensure the continued growth in an agile environment.

This helps the pathology laboratory and the pathologists to work more effectively, leading to higher quality diagnosis and as a result better patient care.

You are responsible for

  • Supporting developers, assuring reproducibility of builds/installations and test of scanners and developer machines;

  • Responsible for Build management for the SGSE teams;

  • Contribute to the build management way of working;

  • Improve and automate, where possible, the build and deployment process;

  • Maintain the build management environment, including:

  • Setting up infrastructure;

  • Troubleshooting;

  • Creating branches;

  • Creating builds;

  • Support Software releasing;

  • Create and maintain relevant documentation in this area.

Your local team is Philips Digital Pathology Solutions at (PDPS) and this venture started in 2007. The venture is establishing a worldwide business for total Digital Pathology Solutions encompassing an UltraFast scanner for digitization of microscope tissue slides and a Pathology Image Management System. The highly skilled teams aim at leveraging multiple Philips assets and capabilities (brand, market channel, technology) for establishing the total solution and being the 1st to market to establish a dominant market position. The market launch of the first solutions was in 2011. The venture has an installed base in US, Europe and Asia and keeps expanding.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Higher vocational level (HBO) or university education in beta;

  • +/- 3 years of experience as linux engineer for (embedded) product application development;

  • Continuousintegration mindset, you know the latests developments in buildstreet technology;

  • Experience with Agile & cross functional teams;

  • Flexible and open attitude, good communication skills in English;

  • Proven experience with:

  • Linux (admin, support installation & maintenance);

  • Jenkins;

  • SVN or GIT, well tell us what is the best available version control system;

  • Network configuration;

  • Storage (maintenance);

  • Docker or cobbler or you tell us;

  • Various build tools;

  • Rpm;
