Healthcare IT Consultant
Cerner is searching for Healthcare Consultants to deliver professional consulting services in the Benelux region. We have openings for consultants on several venues like patient logistics, clinical documentation, medication, laboratory and radiology.
The consultant is a member of Cerner’s European Consultant Organization. He or she guides the client and Cerner colleagues in identifying and executing the changes required to achieve defined benefits. Using effective consulting skills in meetings and events, the consultant drives the client through design of clinical and business process, solution and technology workflow, and successful adoption that will lead to achieved value. The Consultant assists in change management, helps clients identify opportunities for improvements, and is accountable for achieving the project’s targeted outcomes.
The Cerner Benelux organization is growing. All associates are aimed towards the shared goal of bringing our solutions to the Dutch and Belgium hospitals and patients however the atmosphere is easy going. Ensures that the design of the solution and the associated processes are completed successfully, leveraging best practices
Configures, trains, troubleshoots and maintains Cerner solutions and leverages architects and engineers when more technical or complex solutions are required.
Clearly understands the scope of the solutions responsible for, and manages the client commitments to stay within the boundaries of that scope
Articulates the impact of Cerner solutions on future state workflow, role and service line/department
Applies Cerner's consulting methodology and guides continued client optimization
Manages process improvement effectively, leveraging existing implemented solutions to achieve better performance and outcomes
Establishes trusted relationships with all levels and service lines/department inside the client organization(s) and within Cerner project team
Contributes in a leadership capacity to advance the project team and its effectiveness – by sharing knowledge capital, and proactively identifying issues with client or within team that need to be addressed
Follows Cerner policies, upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner respectful of others

Required skills and competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business, (Information) Technology or Healthcare field, or equivalent work experience. Masters degree preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English. French and other languages are preferred
A self-starter with a high level of initiative
Experience in or affinity with working in the healthcare industry required
Ability to travel 50%-100% of the time
Advantageous skills and competencies
- Experience in or affinity with IT and/or programming preferred
