Your challenges

In this role you will be initiating and creating new business opportunities for Philips in the Benelux market in cardiology. You will be driving multiple new business initiatives, gathering marketing intelligence, guiding project teams, composing value propositions and creating business models to assess the feasibility of these new opportunities. The landscape of activities ranges from conceptual thinking and financial analyses through to deal making with strategic business partners and executing new business models. Your responsibilities

The Business Developer develops sales funnel based on deep customer intelligence, engaging with customers and driving integral design of solutions and local marketing with the goal to convert leads into clients.

The Business Developer prepares proposals for management to get financial support to pursue new opportunities and successfully launches and supports the realization of the approved business plan.

Your key areas of responsibility are:

  • Design presentations and strategies for new and existing clients.

  • Engages with customers to build and execute cardiology business funnel, closely working together with account manager.

  • Liaises between businesses and market to ensure opportunity development and closure.

  • Driving integral design of solutions with Philips professionals and external domain experts;

  • Design business models and prepare comprehensive project budgets.

  • Understand local cardiology landscape incl. customer needs, trends, competition.

  • Localizes marketing materials. Coordinate with content experts, marketing department and operations team to develop innovative business proposals, programs and concepts.

  • Design, coordinate and implement support materials for cardiology health space businesses.

  • Capture innovative solution components to a repository;

  • Knowledge transfer to Business solution (marketing) teams for portfolio development

Your team

You closely collaborate with Sector Market Leaders, Sales, Marketing, and Finance functions within the market as well as Group and Sector/BG Strategy & Business Development colleagues. You strongly engage with relevant New Business Development management in other markets and other potential business partners in the market. The NBD Manager directly reports to the Director Solutions & Partnerships.

We are looking for

  • University Master’s Degree; MBA preferred

  • Substantial experience in business development projects with emphasis on the strategic and financial analysis

  • Clinical knowledge of cardiology

  • 8+ years of experience in creating and establishing new business models and valuePropositions, preferably in healthcare

  • Experienced in executing Market Intelligence, Strategic Analysis, Value Proposition House Testing, Business Model Development, Business Case Development, Financial Analysis and Partner/ M&A Target Selection

  • A conceptual thinker

  • Proven experience in leading small strategic project teams in complex organisations

  • Experience with contractual negotiations and writing and managing strategic partnerships are preferred

  • Full business proficiency in Dutch and English, additionally French is preferred

You are part of

Solutions & Partnerships department. You closely collaborate with Sector Market Leaders, Sales, Marketing, and Finance functions within the market as well as Group and Sector/BG Strategy & Business Development colleagues. You strongly engage with relevant New Business Development management in other markets and other potential business partners in the market. You directly report to the Director Solutions & Partnerships. This position is full time and is located in Eindhoven, travelling within The Netherlands/ Benelux is required.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • University Master’s Degree; MBA preferred
