As the UX lead designer, y ou will be responsible for the UX of our professional lighting platforms and services. You will be setting the UX vision as well as leading the direction for user-centered touch-points that translate business and user needs into highly engaging experiences.
The Design function aims to deliver a coherent and excellent user experience, through understanding users and partners, leading change, sparking collaboration, sharing knowledge, building competence and the creation of standards for the design of digital Philips Lighting products.
You will be based in our main design hub in Eindhoven in an international design team, and collaborate with a globally distributed team.
Working closely with product management and system architects in an agile environment (SAFe), you will participate in defining and prioritizing the program backlog, run UX spikes and create UX enablers that drive development.
You get the opportunity to work with designers of varied expertise (on user research, product design, light application…) to evolve our eco-system and services.

We are looking for:
Candidates who share our passion to improve people’s live. To be successful in this role, you have/are able to:
A Bachelor/Master’s Degree from a reputed design institute in Interaction Design or comparable
7 years of relevant user-centered, interaction design experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
Able to scope, set direction, define requirements, collaborate, lead a program and drive increments ensuring UX quality & vision, aligned with business & brand strategy.
Able to establish connections with key stakeholders and can present/communicate convincingly.
Lead & coach junior design team members to grow their potential.
Responsive design / Web application / Native design.
You fully understand and are able to use relevant design tools like: Adobe CS, Sketch, Invision, Flinto, Axure RP, etc.
Skilled in user research methods & tools such as: usability-testing, co-creation, persona definition, user journey mapping… you are an evangelist of user-centricity and (service) design thinking.
Ability to define, measure and act upon UX metrics and product analytics.
You are proficient in English, can provide a strong portfolio and are passionate to raise the bar.
You like working in a multinational environment.

You are up to date with latest UX trends, web design trends and frameworks.
You are up to date with latest (mobile/web) app design trends and platform specific API’s.
