Grow your marketing skills and own the Roast & Ground business (brands: Senseo and Philips) in the Benelux, which is a vital business for Philips Benelux Personal Health. This is your opportunity to further develop the growing Roast & Ground business for Philips in close cooperation with our coffee partner Jacobs Douwe Egberts. As the no. 1 coffee appliances manufacturer, our objective is to accelerate the ‘Single Serve’ category by leveraging our Senseo brand and bringing innovations to the market.

As Marketing Manager for the ‘Roast and Ground’ category (brands: Senseo and Philips) you can boost your marketing career and help grow the coffee business! You are the owner of this important and challenging business where the market is changing and Philips as outright market leader needs to reinvent its marketing. You’re enabled to do this via meaningful consumer insights, developing successful content-driven marketing strategies and see through on proper execution. Furthermore, you’ll be a key stakeholder in the partnership with Sales and Trade Shopper Marketing. Last but not least, you’ll be able to work with our partner Jacobs Douwe Egberts on projects for the Senseo brand.

You are responsible for

  • You manage revenue & margin targets and the market share position of the category in the Benelux market (including Senseo and Philips branded coffee products)

  • Work as part of the full commercial triangle including Sales and Trade Shopper Marketing;

  • Manage the Senseo brand in the Benelux in close cooperation with Jacobs Douwe Egberts Netherlands and Belgium;

  • Develop effective marketing strategies and activation plans, focused on long term, as well as short term activities including advertising & promotion budget control;

  • Initiate and contribute to new business development projects in full collaboration with various functions;

  • Responsible for local market, competition, shopper and consumer analysis to help you determine your marketing strategy based on the consumer decision journey;

  • Execute marketing plan, initiate promotions and drive consumer relationships online, in which you make use of the full marketing mix;

  • Do this by teaming up with colleagues, ensuring good communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, in order to secure the position of Philips.

You are a part of

The passionate and driven Coffee Benelux marketing team. A team of professionals, responsible for various coffee systems and brands, that delivers Philips leading position in coffee appliances. The Coffee team is part of the broader Benelux Personal Health marketing team. The broader marketing team consists of specialists in different marketing functions such as Digital, PR, Trade, Media and CRM. By teaming up, we are proud to deliver meaningful innovation that improves people's daily lives and take pride in what the team achieves together. Your base will be in Eindhoven, The Netherlands (whereby you will be regularly in our Brussels office and Amsterdam office). You report to the Sr. Marketing Manager Coffee.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in marketing management role with category responsibility, experience in developing and executing the marketing strategy with budget responsibility;

  • Master’s degree, preferably Commercially/Business oriented

  • Being able to drive the business as a true business manager

  • Insights in and knowledge of market trends in B2C environment

  • You take ownership and drive for results

  • You are capable to think strategic and act pragmatic and you bring a track record to show it

  • Interactive, creative and goal oriented go-getter that takes initiatives in order to get result. Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Understanding of or experience in the Belgian and/or Dutch market is crucial, since you focus on the Benelux market

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English is a must, French is a plus
