You will have the opportunity to

ensure that external third party suppliers of products, spare parts and services to Philips EMEA Markets meet applicable Purchasing Controls regulatory requirements and Philips standards and specifications. Your dedication to quality is important to our customers and patients. As an important member of the Global Purchased Part Quality Management System (PPQM) and Process team, you will provide guidance and implement strategies that drive product quality and continuous improvement. Primary responsibility is to create, deploy, execute and maintain the procedures and tools associated with PPQM.

You will be responsible for

  • Supporting Supplier Quality process and tool implementations.

  • Supporting supplier quality management programs such as e.g. supplier selection, supplier classification, supplier qualification and supplier rating

  • Interacting with various stakeholders to ensure effective quality problem resolution with suppliers

  • Maintaining supplier performance metrics and report as appropriate to management

  • Partnering with the sites to complete necessary data input into applicable tools

  • Partnering with the sites to complete migration and remediation activities surrounding supplier info

  • Coordinating requirements/best practices gathering and other project activities

  • Creating procedures, work instructions, process flows, guidance and training materials

You will be a part of

  • a recently restructured Quality organization that ensures you and your department have clear interfaces with Philips Business Group and Market leadership, and can harness the expertise of five Centers of Excellence (COEs). These 5 COEs specialize in the following capabilities: Regulatory & Clinical Affairs, Supplier Quality, Quality Management System, Quality Assurance & Engineering, and Compliance & Audit. As part of this new structure, you are empowered to use your voice and expertise to have a positive impact on your team, our business, and health technologies that will improve the health, well-being and care for people around world.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering or science)

  • Several years of experience in Supplier Quality in a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, food)

  • Experience with quality systems, quality tools and methodologies

  • Experience in an international environment

  • Ability to think out of the box and adapt to commercial context

  • Self-starter and self-directed, capable of working with minimal supervision

  • Ability to communicate well, oral and written in English

  • Willingness to travel up to 40-50%

  • Assertive personality with a positive mind-set

  • Strong character and a sound level of authority

  • Open to change and flexible

  • Understands project management

  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Purchasing Controls procedures and processes (preferred)
