Financial Analyst

For our European Financial Center of Excellence (CoE) in Heerlen


The Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) department supports the entire regional finance organization and services more than 20 countries in Europe, Middle East and South Africa for all Medtronic businesses. The main focus is to maintain the infrastructure and the processes, to enable the planning, reporting and analysis of the financial PL for the region. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to help strengthen our department. An ambitious and disciplined individual to contribute to the team’s success by providing excellence and accuracy in the execution, a good understanding of financial processes and the agility to connect results and processes.


We are looking for a candidate with the following experiences and qualities:

  • Analyze, understand, communicate and explain the information reported in the different financial systems,

  • Understand and support the financial closing, planning and reporting processes,

  • Support the analysts community with their system and process issues,

  • Ability to work with large set of data to create and maintain reports,

  • Partner with the greater organization to collect issues, propose solutions, and participate to future improvement initiatives.


You have a degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Controlling (or a master degree in another field with high affinity/experience in finance processes) andyou are highly motivated in developing your analytical skills

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience,

  • Very familiar with Excel, Access, and/or other data spreadsheet programs,

  • Committed to accuracy and quality,

  • Support oriented mindset,

  • Perfect command of English,

  • Eager to learn and develop,

  • Dynamic.

Is a plus:

  • Experience in SAP, BW, Hyperion, or other reporting systems,

  • Experience in an international environment and comfortable with working in cross-functional teams.
