Our Controlling function is at the heart of this mission through maintaining strong internal controls, providing timely, accurate, and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders, and ultimately delivering expert business partnership to drive profitable growth. We are now looking for a Global Expansion Senior Accountant that will be responsible for Digital Commerce Order-To-Cash (O2C) accounting processes supporting our Global Expansion market expansion initiative. In this role you will report directly to the Global Expansion Accounting Manager, based at Nike’s European Headquarters (EHQ) in the Netherlands.
Support the implementation of the Global Expansion initiative
Serve as key point of contact for Global Expansion management and project teams
Drive engagement of EHQ finance and operations stakeholders to enable the project
Prepare accounting entries and analysis related to revenue recognition and judgmental reserves
Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations; monitor, report and investigate any differences
Assist with the evaluation of controls and make recommendations for improvement
Research financial anomalies and make corrections as necessary
Perform US GAAP research on various accounting topics
Be part of the larger Nike Controlling Organization and embrace best practices
Bachelor/Master Degree in Finance and Accounting or similar and is in progress of obtaining a Professional Finance qualification in the next 2 years (preferably CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in private or public accounting
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
Good MS Office and financial system knowledge (SAP preferable)
Results-orientated with a personal impact
Natural presentation and influencing skills
Proven track record of success and development in previous roles
