Global Mobility Advisor
Roles And Responsibilities
Implement and monitor the recently introduced Fugro International Assignment policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and programs globally. Ensure that the international assignment process is executed according to these policies as flawless as possible in cooperation with Fugro HR/Tax departments and external vendors.
The Global Mobility (IM) Advisor provides day to day operational mobility advisory services and assistance to International assignees, HR and line managers including, but not limited to, advice on international resourcing and relocation, international mobility management, wage/income tax, social security, immigration, general employee relations issues, assignee remuneration and benefits.
Roles And Responsibilities
Implement and monitor the Fugro Global mobility policies and practices and act as an advocate for management on International assignment decisions;
Assist current and new Fugro employees with their relocation from one country to another by providing a smooth process, as per Fugro’s Global Mobility policy;
Support the Fugro employees with their immigration processes such as visa applications, work permits, renewals, and other immigration procedures;
Collaborate with the business leadership by providing professional advice on assignment considerations, assignment cost estimations, balance sheets, assignment processes and exceptions at an individual and policy level;
Assist the assignee in their assignment life cycle by providing pre-assignment briefings, assignment packages, relocation support, compensation and benefit advice in the new country, social security and pension considerations, and continuous support during their assignment;
Manage external and internal stakeholders concerning Global Mobility;
Manage external Global Mobility service providers (vendors);
Deliver new and effective solutions for improvement in the current Global Mobility framework;
Provide training to HR professionals on developments / changes concerning immigration, processes and policies;
Ensure that businesses and individuals are provided with tax and social security planning, payroll consulting, and compliance expertise for a global workforce;
Ensure tax-efficient structuring of international assignments, effective use of tax treaties, optimize worldwide tax burdens of mobile staff within the boundaries of legal and tax frameworks;
Manage compliance risks associated with a global workforce;
Cooperate and interact with the regional and global Tax departments on corporate tax effects of international mobile staff;
Participate in projects that require Global Mobility expertise;
Day to day first point of contact and subject matter expert on all Global Mobility and Immigration topics.
MSc degree in Fiscal Economics/Tax Law;
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Global Mobility at large (multinational) and highly matrixed organization and/or one of the major consultancy firms;
Thorough understanding of Global Mobility needs and processes in a large organization;
Familiar with working in a complex environment dealing with continuous change and occasionally conflicting priorities;
Project Management skills and presentation skills;
Communication, negotiation and influencing skills (upwards & side wards)
Highly result oriented and ability to execute while multitasking.
Good knowledge of trends and developments in Global Mobility;
Above average “Basic knowledge” of local and international social security, tax and labor legislation;
Self-starter, creative thinker, curious by nature and work independently to resolve issues;
Positive attitude and energy, you are able to work in a fast paced, target driven environment and perform well under tight time constraints;
Proven experience with high demand requests and different types of personal conversations;
You have excellent analytical skills, strong planning, time management and organizational skills.
