ERP Finance Principal Sales Consultant
Solution Consulting is the function that provides product expertise to sales, customers & partners in Oracle. Oracle has a large community of solution consultants across EMEA that engage on a daily basis in tasks such as:
Product presentations & demonstrations
Advise customers & partners on how best to use Oracle products
Respond to tenders
Maintain a relationship with existing customers
Interact with product development about new releases and new functionality
As a solution consultant you have the chance to develop in a very broad-spectrum, ranging from product expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge. Successful solution consultants are in high demand and have the opportunity to pursue a career path both in solution consulting and in many different IT and non-IT functions.
The Benelux ERP and EPM solution consulting team is tasked with supporting the Benelux field sales, customers & partners in a diverse number of ways, ranging from answering to tenders, customizing & delivering demos and proofs of concept to directly supporting partners and/or customers with specific requests. Good commercial sense is a key requirement as we aim to grow our ERP and EPM presence, presenting our solution should always reflect the immediate and long term benefit for our customers. A pro-active attitude and a bias for action are key characteristics that we are looking for.
Knowledge of the finance domain in commercial organizations and experience with sales consulting in the performance management packaged solutions, management reporting and financial analysis are considered fundamental for applicants.
Languages: Dutch and English.
Good understanding of the IT market/trends
University degree/Higher Business Education or an equivalent technical/IT education
Works in an IT related role today preferably as a sales consultant
Knowledge of and experience with financial (project) management and ERP products such as Oracle Cloud Financials, Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics or any other such product.
Familiar with industry trends, such as IFRS15/16
Previous experience as a Finance Manager, finance (implementation) consultant will be useful.

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
