With a network of around 100 service centers, the RES Group develops and executes comprehensive repairs, refurbishments, maintenance and new builds on rotating equipment, offering customers an

alternative to the OEM.

At Sulzer SC Rotterdam 75 employees of 10 nationalities are serving customers in the Benelux. To reinforce our Sales team we are now looking for an experienced candidate (M/F) for the position:

Manager Sales

Your role:

  • You will coach the sales team in Rotterdam (Europoort), the results (turnover & margin), the overall sales process and the sales/market development within the assigned region;

  • You will act on the bases of a short and medium term sales plan.

  • Therefore, you need specific market knowledge, not only of existing clients but also of new markets and other business opportunities.

  • You take initiative to explore the market for new business and you also strive to sell (long term) service contracts.

  • Internally you keep your stakeholders informed about your proceedings and possible needs for support.

  • You work together with several disciplines.

  • You will report to the Managing director.

Our demands:

  • At least HBO educational level (Bachelor degree) with a technical specialism combined with sales & marketing courses (Nima B level).

  • Solid sales experience in a mature technical business environment.

  • At least 5 years with capital goods, contract and team management.

  • Preferably within an International setting and specific knowledge about the mentioned area and products.

  • High level of independence, flexibility, pro-activity and willing to travel extensively (>50%) within the EMEA region.

  • Strong drive to achieve results with a clear understanding of value added sales process within large companies.

  • Creative business person with excellent negotiation techniques.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English. Other language(s) desirable (French, Spanish, Arabic).
