During the European Graduate Program, you will acquire a large amount of knowledge on country (local/worldwide) finance and accounting activities that support our businesses.

You will undergo a specific training program covering additional hands-on experience that will provide the foundation for a potential management position.

In the European Graduate Program, you could expect some or all of the following experiences within the first two years with Cargill:

  • Initial assignment to a job

  • On-going formal soft skill development and technical training

  • Mentoring provided by a Cargill manager

  • Networking with International colleagues

Major Tasks:

  • Learning on the job of all the aspects of the balance sheet and profit and loss bookings. Reporting, root cause analysis and taking actions within Finance as well as with other related departments around specific topics.

  • Work on process improvements within finance department as well as participate in projects with other departments within the business unit or within the Cargill finance job family.

  • Develop, maintain and support Financial, Planning and Analysis business partnering initiatives to support the growth and profitability of the business.

  • Work on specific items like budget preparation, internal or external audit preparation.

  • Work on day to day ad hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.


  • Recent finance related university degree, for example Accounting and Control.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Willingness to travel

  • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of another European language will be a plus

  • Demonstrated natural leadership ability

  • Self-starter; highly motivated and able to work independently

  • Teamwork; ability to work in a multi-cultural and cross functional team
