The Media Services team at Cargill is in search of a production champion who is passionate for creating exceptional live in-person/virtual events, engaging audiences and having fun. This Senior Producer is responsible for live event and webcast support for Cargill. The team member in this position must have proven technical and process leadership and in-depth knowledge of live event and broadcast production disciplines. You will provide consultation and support for all audio/video/webcast production needs and will coordinate audio/visual technology support for VIP meeting rooms and executive events. This position requires superior customer focus, strong relationship building and deep interpersonal skills. Interaction will include Director-level, V.P. or senior contacts. Work must be conducted with the highest degree of professionalism in this business focused environment.
90 % - Live Event Consultation and Production (may include some or all of the following):
Consult with Cargill stakeholders regarding their live, in-person and virtual event needs to determine what solutions are required to help make the programs successful.
Arrange for the appropriate resources such as venues, video cameras, switchers, encoders, audio systems, microphones and production talent.
Schedule all pertinent logistics, conduct thorough testing and dry runs, and ensure all operations run smoothly during the live shows.
Provide leadership that will proactively help make each event a success.
Conduct technical reviews and training with remote presenters in each region as needed, test audio and video technologies used - promoting the highest production standards.
Actively participates in the production of live webcasts, sometimes as director and sometimes as crew, precisely following established processes and checklists.
Process requires designing contingency plans for any technology shortfalls that may arise during critical events and can quickly and calmly apply these for dealing with common problems that can occur during a webcast
10%Miscellaneous Duties as assigned
- Master's degree in Broadcast Communications or related field (is an advantage) or Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications, Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in audio visual Media Support and live event/broadcasting.
Able to communicate in ENGL/FR/Dutch.
Audio/Visual and conferencing (phone and video) support experience.
Large scale event production experience (i.e. companywide town halls, off site meetings and events).
Have a network of freelance production talent to source for events in major locations within region.
Strong professional presence with the discretion, poise and maturity to deal with confidential information (self-motivated, flexible, punctual and well organized)
Customer focused, service oriented and quality driven. Capable of developing and following processes/procedures to ensure operational excellence
Track record of developing rapport and trust with senior leadership levels in large organizations. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Experience with communications to all levels of the organization. Ability to present in front of an audience.
Experience in managing external vendor relationships.
Experience making decisions in complicated ambiguous scenarios, prioritizing multiple tasks and following through on commitments.
Willingness and ability to travel globally 20%
Ability to work in a low-oversight, high-accountability environment with willingness to work occasional non-standard hours for AV media enabled event support as required.
Experience with helping to plan and organize large corporate communication events.
Must have solid working knowledge of a/v equipment including microphones, speakers, conferencing endpoints (e.g. Polycom/Cisco) and multipoint bridging, digital video cameras, lighting/staging, video projection, webcasting technologies (live video/audio/content streaming) including encoders, media switchers, control consoles and content delivery solutions.
Experienced in using Enterprise Audio/Web conferencing solution provided by a 3rd party (example: Intercall, Microsoft Skype, Global Crossings, AT&T, Premier Global….etc.).
Knowledgeable about presentation solutions, examples: Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentations, Cisco WebEx, Skype for Business.
On demand video publishing.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Media /Broadcast/ Productions, Communications.
Experience with basic Media Productions - digital video capturing, editing, camera/microphone equipment such as DSLR cameras, non-linear editing.
Experience with WAN/LAN/ISDN networking technologies
Experience with Conference Room and Collaboration technologies.
Experience with Immersive Telepresence systems.
Knowledge of project management process.
Experience in navigating complex people/process and technology landscape of a large organization. Can engage and collaborate with highly skilled technical teams to resolve complex problems.
