As Field Marketer Commercial, you are responsible for supporting the VMware Commercial sales-organization to realize sustainable business growth in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, by addressing the digital transformation agenda of small and medium enterprises as well as public sector organizations. Reporting into the Regional Head of Marketing, you are the primary interface with the commercial sales teams, specialist teams responsible for select propositions, VMware partner managers, local and the wider EMEA Marketing organization.
In this entry-level professional role, you are an active participant and contributor to team meetings, and provide insights as well as direct marketing support for key programs that will help grow the business in Commercial Segment. You specifically focus on lead generation programs, pipeline tracking, SFDC hygienic and VMware’s contact enhancement strategy. Increasingly your touchpoints and campaigns toward your audience will be executed digitally. You are an individual contributor, but frequently work in multi-disciplinary teams to gather insights on industry drivers and business outcomes, and subsequently formulate and execute marketing tactical and strategic programs that focus on key industry opportunities in key verticals, including Retail, Business Services, Transport and Logistics, Energy and Utilities, as well as public sector accounts in Education, Healthcare Local Government.
This is a Marketer role, where you will be expected to understand the company strategy and implement it within the context of the Commercial customer space. You have a basic understanding of customer journey’s and how to engage with decision makers. You will be expected to have some basic strategic planning, execution and project management skills and a willingness to work in virtual teams from different parts of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive the market strategy for selected Commercial accounts and key verticals to deliver key success KPI metrics.
Work to increase efficiency and effectiveness of outbound call-campaigns based on latest developed content and improved reporting and Salesforce.com operations.
Provide strategic market insights to Sales on the appropriate marketing activities for the progressive stages of the sales cycle, lead generation, development, retention, nurture.
Act as an extended resource to the commercial account teams for select Accounts, and attend Account Business Reviews and other meetings as appropriate; present Marketing plans and updates to Sales and Marketing management.
An important contributor to key strategies or thought Leadership, demand generation and sales acceleration initiatives.
Own delivery of account- or opportunity-specific materials to ensure our value proposition is effectively communicated, including strategic business-outcomes driven case studies.
Ensure that commercial sales and marketing objectives, strategies and execution align to ensure effective team working. Manage effective bi-directional communications with internal and external enterprise sales and other stakeholders.
Manage and track customer intimacy and opportunity stage progression for select accounts.
Develop a quarterly commercial marketing plan, ensure the budget is spent compliantly and be accountable, track and measure ROI according to budget rules and guidelines.
Required Experience, Skills and background:
Preferably 1 – 3 years of experience in a B2B or B2C environment.
Having driving projects or gained basic project management skills with experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables with individuals inside and outside the organization
Having basic presentation skills and an ability to present a value proposition to external Audiences
Skills to interface with different levels in a matrix organization including sales & marketing, product management and tech consultants.
A mindset that will be match the dynamic and high achievement-oriented environment and allow you to effectively navigate the organization.
Show initiative and work both independently and collaboratively
Basic problem solving capabilities and analytical skills, and being able to adapt to changing conditions
Good interpersonal and persuasive skills.
Create and deliver presentations to internal constituencies (Sales and Marketing).
Comfort and experience with being the go-to marketing resource in the field
Good written and verbal communication skills
Education and Training
Graduate or Master degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or relevant field of study.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
Native Dutch, Fluent in English. French preferable
