Senior Web UI Developer
Our development group creates Cloud based software solutions for Health Insurance companies worldwide. We are expanding the team and one of the roles is a Web UI Developer.
In this role your skills will be challenged to create technical designs and code the Web UI. Our UI technology stack is based on Oracle Jet and includes JQuery, Knockout.js and RequireJS.
Within the Oracle Health Insurance Team you will work within a team of other UI developers, in Utrecht and Bangalore, expanding and enhancing the functionality of our applications. You will also work closely with functional analysts, Java developers and testers.
You initiate improvements in our UI architecture, coding patterns and application performance.

Since 1994, Oracle has been operating in the healthcare market through the development of Oracle Health Insurance, a back office application for health insurers. This department has grown into a separate unit within Oracle, with over 140 professionals working for health insurers in the Netherlands and abroad. Oracle Health Insurance division's mission is to offer insurers a streamlined, customizable, and easy to adjust product against the lowest possible price. The Health Insurance division develops, sells, implements and maintains products, which directly support Health Insurance companies with their policy administration, claims and financials management processes.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
