Job Mission

You will be responsible to deliver hands-on results in a challenging operational environment by analyzing the financial and operational performance of the Customer Supply Chain. By influencing operational teams and defining and managing projects you reduce costs. In order to be successful within a unique and highly demanding environment, you will cooperate closely with key international stakeholders across the SCM organization.

Job Description
  • Identify investigate root causes of inefficiency, for instance in our worldwide field processes or planning methodologies
  • Prepare and streamline recurring performance reviews and advise on potential business actions
  • Drive (operational) improvement initiatives to achieve operational and financial norms
  • Manage a project team to deliver on agreed improvement deliverables
Education

Relevant Master degree (e.g Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Business Administration, Supply chain or Engineering)

Experience
  • 4-6 years relevant experience in a large international company (industry or consultancy)
  • Project management (e.g. Prince 2, IPEC, DMAIC) – managed projects or large work streams involving senior management and operational level
  • Financial affinity is a pre
  • SAP experience is a pre
Personal skills
  • Leadership skills, drive for results, convincing
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and hands-on, in order to reach tangible short/mid-term results in line with long term roadmap and vision

Context of the position

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is an industry-leading supply-chain management organization, responsible for ensuring material availability to ASML’s factories and customers. Our DNA contains customer focus, concurrent engineering, virtual integration plus the ability to thrive in a volatile market, accelerate the supply chain and deliver creative solutions. SCM plans up to four years ahead while customer requirements and system bill of materials can change at any time. Any break in material availability can have an unacceptable impact for our customers. So, with over 550 highly educated and motivated people, SCM must proactively identify and solve potential issues by working closely together with our technical departments and customers while actively managing an extensive supplier base.

The Customer Supply Chain (CSC) team is responsible for meeting service level agreements (SLAs) with customers. System downtime costs customers up to a million USD per day so SLAs are extremely tight, with downtime waiting for parts and tools limited to as little as 20 minutes per system per week. CSC manages such challenges in a global network with thousands of unique spare parts and delivers true customer satisfaction through differentiated and affordable logistics services. ASML’s aggressive time-to-market strategy and increasing system functionality means machines are often upgraded at the customer during their lifetime. CSC’s highly educated workforce drives planning and execution of the logistics aspects of commercial upgrades, field change orders, machine shipments and transfers.
