Responsible for supporting the Regional Account Management Organization in all aspects of Cymer’s relationship withthe assignedaccounts to maximize customer satisfaction and profitable market share potential.

Supports the Account Management organization on a Europe/Israel basis, in the broadness of customer management in relation to data analysis, sales administrative support and reporting.


  • Strategy and Business Development analysis

  • Performs analysis and gathers/maintains data to understand the customers’ culture, product portfolio, competitive position, financial state, capital spending, investment planning, organization structure, key decision makers, installed base, product roadmaps and Cymer’s competitive strengths and weaknesses.

  • Is involved in gathering/maintaining market analysis data (e.g. markets, capital spending) to understand Cymer's position in relation to the competition. Analyzes market share by gathering information about competitor’s shipments.

  • Supports the development and updates of Cymer Customer Account Plans and helps to communicate these on a regularly scheduled basis.

  • Prepares all analytical requirements/content to build deal desk packages (= for customer offering proposal reviews).

  • Ensures continuous focus on solid alignment of customer and Cymer product roadmaps.

  • Account Management support

  • Supports preparation of business packages for key customer negotiations - warranty and service issues, new product introductions, etc.

  • Supports senior management operations review packages/meetings as necessary to report and control Account/Cymer objectives.

  • Maintains accuracy over account business essentials including accurate Laser (MAF) and Installed Base Products forecasts for achieving revenue target.

  • Updates and reports the manufacturing planning data based on account management’s input.

  • Works closely with Product Management team to ensure success of technical discussions, including acceptance of product specification modifications and FCO.

  • Makes sure that on a continuous basis full insight exists on outstanding quotations/purchase orders, to provide a solid basis for sound revenue forecast reporting and analysis.

  • Receives and tracks incoming Purchase Orders from customers and communicates internally and externally with customers about shipments/services/backlog.

  • Follows up on accounts receivable (A/R) collections with customers and Sales in Process (SIP) activities where applicable. This requires developed customer contacts and understanding of customer organizational structures.

  • Keeps existing customer data current, to include contact lists for mailings, as well as organizational charts. Performs customer mailings as needed.

  • Will be regularly involved in telephone meetings with customers. Will also interact regularly with the corporate organization in San Diego, USA.

  • Back-up support to issue quotations for Cymer's European customers according to European price lists and Terms and Conditions.

  • Other duties as assigned, to include being first back-up for the Account Management Coordinator in Veldhoven.

  • Strong analytical background

  • Experience with spreadsheets, (development of) analytical modeling, and information/database systems.

  • Good with figures.

  • Familiar working in an environment with new product introductions, a key account management department, and working with field professionals.

  • Experience in a cross-functional or matrix management company structure.

  • Ability to successfully operate within a culturally diverse working environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to explain to others logically the problem in order to achieve appropriate understanding and cooperation from supporting team.

  • Fluency in English (German, French and/or Dutch knowledge will be a plus).


  • Requires a Master Degree with a technical/Engineering and secondarily business management, emphasis and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a similar job OR a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with six (6) years of experience in a similar job in an international organization in the semiconductor industry.

  • Work experience is preferably obtained in product/service sales or marketing departments.

  • Front-end semiconductor process technology knowledge.

  • Requires strong experience using the following software packages: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle (main ERP software), Outlook, and SharePoint.
