We are now looking for a Compensation and Benefit Professional who will provide expertise in the Compensation and Benefits Department for the Global Sales Organization. You will manage and deliver high quality service in the area of compensation strategy, education and salary review administration to HR and line management for the geographical area Europe as well as global responsibilities for driving the Global Sales Plan
The location for this position is Amsterdam, and you will report to The Compensation and Benefit Manager of SMRT.
Key performance areas
As a Compensation & Benefits Professionalyour main responsibilities are:
Consultation, Analysis, and Decision-Making: Provide high level consulting and analysis on total compensation elements to HR and line management. Provide recommendations that balance fairness and equity with cost effectiveness for Sandvik.
Base Pay Management. Conduct job analysis and evaluations, assess internal and external comparisons, create competitive market zones, adhere to local legislation, advocate wage and hour requirements, and make band and salary. Help define comparator groups; conduct and participate in external salary surveys and internal equity reviews on an on-going basis. Oversee job evaluation process to ensure consistency and integrity; provide guidance in writing job profiles, all in alignment with the Sandvik Career Framework.
Sales Incentive Plan: Drive the Sales Incentive plan by analyzing and assessing the quarterly and annual results Sales Incentive Plan in all areas. Interact with the Sales Area Managers and local HR to review on target setting. Liase with the regions to bring the Sales Incentive Plan to the next level
Benefits. Work with design staff in communicating a total compensation message.
New Hire and Increase Proposals: Provide consultation on compensation packages for new hires and internal transfers as needed. Review salary increase proposals outside of corporate guidelines
Project: Career Framework
Sandvik’s HR is in transition to implement a Career Framework. In combination with the implementation of the HR system, you will lead in your area the slotting of the roles into the frame in consultation with HR and Line managers.
Annual Salary Review
In this role, you will also manage and facilitate the salary administration process for the assigned area. Identify systems requirements, assess market competitiveness, and recommend salary budgets to provide a competitive and cost effective salary program consistent with Sandvik’s compensation philosophy. Develop and share appropriate increase guidelines.
Create education and communication materials that are consistent within the business area and the geographical area, yet locally relevant. Conduct training on compensation fundamentals to both HR and line management. Remain abreast of compensation trends, developments, and applicable legislation
You should also ensure compliance with global and local policies and take full ownership of the HR delivery in your area of responsibility by working in close cooperation with our global and local HR organization, in order to ensure a business close HR support.
We are looking for someone with a University degree in HR, Finance or Business Administration and 10+ yearworking experience within HR and Compensation & Benefits. You are familiar with compensation strategies (including various types of incentive programs and benefits. In addition, you have knowledge of job evaluation systems. We also think that you have adequate knowledge of current labor rules for the geographical area.
Both your analytical and influencing skills are strong and you are a fluent in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
Computer skills in the area Excel is required, as well as compensation-specific applications. In this role, mathematic skills and strong financial knowledge are essential.
