Area of focus
The Global Compensation & Benefits Manager enhances and drives execution of our Benefits and Compensation programs worldwide. The focus of the role will be approx. 50% Benefits, 40% Compensation, and 10% mobility (remuneration as it relates to employee movement, relocation and immigration practices) across 20 countries spread across the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific.
Particular focus: US, Mexico, UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, China, India, Japan.
The Global Manager may have up to four direct reports in locations including Europe, Asia-Pacific, Mexico, and the United States.
Responsibilities – Design
Design education programs related to compensation, benefits and mobility.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to lead the design of relocation and immigration remuneration plans and policies (with actual execution and day-to-day in other groups).
Establishment of global governance model for compensation, benefits, and mobility, with full cycle policy
Incentive, stock option and bonus plan design.
May contribute in the selection, administration and maintenance of performance management systems and HRIS management.
Oversees the evaluation, development, implementation and execution of mobility programs and services in support of the organization’s talent management strategy including employee short- and long-term transfers and assignments, new-hire domestic and international relocation and country entry support.
Develops and communicates policies governing employee transfers, relocations, and immigration requests.
Partner with HRIS teams to deploy effective enrollment tools globally.
Responsibilities – Management / execution
Management of the annual compensation focal process, including salary, bonuses, and stock.
Retirement Plan governance across multiple global locations, potentially including 401(k) Plan administration in the United States.
Benefit Plan governance across multiple global locations, potentially including audit and submission of Form 5500s in the United States.
Management of annual benefits open enrollment processes globally.
Conducts job evaluation and salary surveys, establishes salary structures, develops salary budgets, and prepares policies and procedures to insure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.
Monitors and evaluates the company’s benefits programs including: insurance programs, retirement plans, sick leave, time off and vacation policies. Ensures programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs.
Coordinates vendor management, wellness and health education initiatives.
Negotiates coverage services and costs with carriers and agreements and maintains relationships with counsel, government agencies and third-party relocation and mobility service providers.
Stays current with laws, regulations and procedures governing mobility and immigration.
We are looking for
Demonstrated success and proven experience in managing in-house Compensation & Benefit programs, in order of preference for US, Mexico, Netherlands, China, India, UK, France, Germany, Japan.
Experience with HR consulting firms (Mercer, Aon, Towers Perrin) preferred.
In-depth knowledge of local Compensation and Benefits practices and legislations in above-mentioned locations.
Agile mindset, able to handle ambiguity and pro-actively and creatively solve problems.
Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
Great people management skills, able to inspire, lead, manage, and develop teams.
Excellent listening skills and high degree of empathy and integrity.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Very IT savvy, using IT efficiently and effectively, including advanced Excel skills.
Minimum BSc level education
