FIS Major Accounts Program (MAP) MAP, FIS’s Major Accounts Program is a high level, horizontal revenue development force tasked with developing and growing the overall FIS relationship with key clients who most closely map to FIS’s solution positioning within the Financial Services sector.MAP Directors are responsible for representing FIS and FIS software and services to clients, prospective clients, independent consultants, and cooperative vendors for the purpose of transacting sales and related contracts in their named accounts. MAP Directors are tasked with understanding the internal Major Account Program Strategy of each client and mapping that strategy to available FIS solutions. As well as protecting an exiting revenue base, a fundamental responsibility of any MAP Director is to increase the net annual income from every account and/or portfolio of accounts through active account sales development. Key Account Managers are responsible for leading and conducting sales campaigns, FIS positioning against competitive offerings, the use of company resources and senior executives, and to advance the sales cycle, negotiate and bring campaigns to successful conclusions.Each Key Account Manager is responsible for a group of ‘named accounts’. Sales into the assigned accounts resulting from the MAP director’s efforts will be credited against quota and commissioned.These accounts represent an investment in FIS in excess of $200M and annual revenues in excess of $50M.For obvious reasons, the optimal management of these accounts is a major responsibility and one that is critical to FIS’s continued success. Equally important is the need to demonstrate to these clients that their continued investment in FIS is well protected and that they derive full benefit from the relationship on a long-term and global basis.
The successful candidate will have the following background:
· 5 years proven sales experience
· Degree level education
· Knowledge of financial markets and derivatives. As the range of products sold into Key Accounts spans risk, trading, position keeping, market data and analytics, operations and accounting solutions, a demonstrable ability to understand a broad range of needs and propose appropriate solutions is required.
· A capable, articulate, personable and energetic self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Highly self motivated: ability to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative, tenacity and perseverance.
· Team player with ability to work successfully within the sales team and the broader technical pre-sales and client support environment.
