Reporting to the Business Unit Director Medical for Belgium, Netherlands and Nordics, the Regional Sales Manager Medical will be responsible the growth of sales in the Netherlands and the northern territories of Belgium (Dutch speaking area) and will be leading a team of 5 sales representatives, and driving a sales strategy that enables maximized customer satisfaction and the acquisition of new customers.

The main responsibilities for the role include:

• Provide solutions for customers and KOL, and add value to the sales process through negotiations, resulting in winning business/orders and positive customer experience Building relations with KOL:s, Hospital leadership and Procurements departments, and support the team with tender management.

• Develop/engage / coach sales representatives, to support the achievement of targets, and to develop future leaders

• Partner with cross divisional/franchise and Key Account Managers in order to win market share and to ensure over achievement of financial and operational targets

• Ensure the application of Stryker’s policies, standards and compliance policy

• Identify competitive issues/opportunities and provide credible market and customer feedback to General Manager and your team. Continuously gather intelligence on products performance, customers satisfaction, competitors, market trends and the healthcare system.

• Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, monthly & weekly revenue streams across the region and team of sales reps

• Plan, prepare and follow up sales forecasts and budgets, AP activities and the departments operating costs. This encompasses in particular:

• Control all resources and materials in the sales area. Optimize resources and responsibility for the running of a profitable business in the area

• Conducting price negotiations and contractual preparation within the limits of in-house guidelines, up to contract conclusion

• Drive the long term planning and execution to secure business and take market shares in tenders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education in sales and/or marketing Management/ Economics or equivalent, preferred

• Preferably training in a medical, scientific, technical area

• Successful sales experience within medical device in hospital environment, required

• Strong business accumen, required

• Experience in Managing a team is an advantage, but not required

• Intermediate to advanced IT skills

• Experience in providing training for customers and peers, required

• Anatomical proficiency

• Mother tongue/Fluent Dutch and English speaker, required

• Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship management skills

• Demonstrated strong written communication skills and experience with creating product messaging, especially with regards to competitive advantages

• Demonstrated ability to influence/guide cross functional teams

• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on a Brand Plan directly linked to broader business/divisional goals.

• Demonstrated ability to be a subject matter expert for a product or service
