Philips Lighting Intern Sustainability in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Determining relevant (external) data-sets to calculate the social and environmental impacts of our business activities
Updating the ways in which we explain our considerations on societal impact to the outside world
Ensuring the approach that Philips Lighting takes towards impact reporting is reflective of best-practices of other companies / academic literature
You will be part of the central sustainability team, reporting to the Head of Sustainability Reporting for Philips Lighting. You will work closely with colleagues responsible for sustainable products, sustainable operations, and sustainable supply chain, as well as people outside of the sustainability department.

· The position is for 6 months, based in Amsterdam, with the ability to travel 1 day per week to our Eindhoven office.

We are looking for
The successful candidate is currently studying towards a Master of Science in Business administration, Sustainability or (Business) Economics
· Tangible interest in sustainability and sustainability reporting
· Knowledge of the natural and social capital protocols and the concept of shared value creation
· Strong research skills and data savviness
· Excellent communication skills
· Fluent in English
o You will receive an internship allowance; the exact amount depends on your situation (also towards rented accommodation or public transportation);
o The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month;
o Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop).
o EU/EER students: In order to be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time.
o Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.
o Non-EU students in non-Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and the internship should be a compulsory part of your studies. Also, you need to be able to get the official approval of your university for this internship (Nuffic agreement).
