What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the development and execution of the overall Cable and Media Vertical Marketing Plan and execution for EMEAR with a special focus on North, Benelux and UK/I markets. Key accounts include Sky and LGI.

The EMEAR marketing plan will be developed in collaboration with members of the sales teams and the broader theatre and global marketing community to support growing Cisco´s Cable & Media business in EMEAR.

You will have the following accountability:

  • Provide leadership and teamwork in a cross-functional team to develop and lead the EMEAR marketing strategy and plan to drive Cisco portfolio and architectural solution mindshare, preference and adoption inside the Cable & Media vertical.

  • Provide leadership and teamwork in a cross-functional team to develop and be responsible for the specific geography marketing strategy and plans for North, Benelux and UK/I across Cisco´s entire service provider portfolio.

  • Use data and analytics to determine customer insights and trends in crafting marketing programs specific to customer needs in the Cable and Media Vertical and assigned geographies.

  • Understand a broad mix of marketing channels including online digital/social media, live and online event, telemarketing, and email marketing to build integrated marketing plans aligned with Cisco and the partners' sales goals.

  • Drive execution of plans directly, through agencies and leveraging Cisco´s marketing automation and digital platforms across multiple teams.

  • Measurement and return on investment reporting of your plans according to marketing industry best practices.

  • Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with sales and marketing teams in the regions and globally.

Who You Are

You have a deep understanding of the Service Provider market and Cable and Media industry or proven ability to learn market trends with respect to segmentation, product value propositions, competition, channels and products in the Service Provider market and specifically the Cable and Media industry. Your ability to synthesize market forces and sales strategy into a coherent marketing strategy is crucial.

You are able to handle complex projects with multiple deliverables, many of which come from other groups and teams. This requires the ability to develop a holistic view of deliverables, understand how these deliverables fit together and are dependent upon each other, modify the plan as schedules and deliverables change, and work with the extended team to ensure timely delivery of integrated programs to the field and customers.

Your functional discipline knowledge includes demand generation, digital/social media channels, ABM, marketing analytics, program development and execution, and event strategy.

Here are some of the mandatory skills we are looking for:

  • Marketing Excellence: Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing plans with a focus on digital know-how.

  • Market development: use customer, market, Cisco bookings and services data, competitive, industry and partner analysis to build marketing plans to increase adoption of the Cisco Service Providers portfolio and Cisco-based Cloud and Managed Services.

  • Operations excellence and planning: Measure results by tracking marketing activities and their impact on both the partner and Cisco sales including tracking full funnel metrics from reach and response through revenue (i.e., SQL).

  • Communications: Share timely and relevant information between marketing and the cross-functional Global Service Provider community.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Provide teamwork and partnership with key business stakeholders (Global Service Provider Sales, Service Provider Channels, Global Marketing, etc.).

  • Service Providers business & technical knowledge with focus on Cable and Media Industry in Europe - trends in developing strategies and joint marketing plans; including the requirements of having a deep understanding of the Cable and Media business models and cloud / managed services and the ability to develop content in working with external agencies and partners' agencies.

  • Entrepreneurship and creativity - demonstrate a creative can-do attitude in a rapidly changing environment. Plus, enjoys taking risks, and is open to learning from experiences.

Additional qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing with Service Provider customer experience would be preferable.

  • At least 5+ years of experience in the industry.

  • Up to date knowledge of current tools and techniques for Marketing execution.

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills across virtual and global teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Results driven.

  • Languages: English. Dutch and Nordics languages a plus.
