Senior User Experience Researcher

The described vacancy is located within the User Experience & Design team at Marktplaats.
As a User Experience Researcher you’ll be part of a team of 7 Product Designers who work on the entire customer journey of Marktplaats and 2dehands.be. Together we are leading the discovery of new opportunities to accomplish our vision: to create an experience for our customers to buy and sell in 5 minutes with a smile .
You will be the UX researcher tasked to scale our user research capability across multiple cross-functional Customer Journey teams whom develop products for Marktplaats (The Netherlands) and 2dehands.be (Belgium). We believe understanding our users, their goals and lives, is like oxygen to an organisation. Your goal is to ensure that we can deliver just-in-time insights from generative, descriptive or evaluative research within days, not weeks.
You empower cross-functional Customer Journey Teams to execute qualitative user research continuously in all stages of the product development process. You master a diverse set of user research methodologies and you understand when to apply them at the right time for the right goal. You value objectivity and empathy. You are inspired by best-in-class user experiences, and excited by challenging research problems. You think globally, considering cultural variables while striving to create scalable systems and processes. You collaborate with product managers, designers and analysts to connect the dots nobody else is seeing to uncover new insights and opportunities.

Mastery in different types of qualitative user research methodologies
Define and execute a strategy to scale user research
Solid understanding of lean product development processes
Support high priority research initiatives hands-on
Stubborn on your vision, flexible on the details
At least 5 years of experience as a user researcher
