Challenge

Your challenge will be to design, create, test, integrate and maintain software components for the Philips Interventional Hemodynamic System: a medical device used to assess and analyze the patient’s hemodynamic condition during Interventional Cardiac Procedure.

You will work in a small software development team which is part of a multi-disciplinary business team responsible for the Hemodynamic monitoring solutions within IGT-S.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the design, creation testing and maintenance of part of the software of the Philips Hemodynamic application in accordance with the requirement and design specifications defined within the Hemodynamic software development team.

  • You will be an active team member of the software development team, contributing to the refinement, estimation and planning processes of the Scrum process used within the team.

  • You will be working on new innovations on the Philips Hemodynamic software while supporting field questions and product issues from the released software products.

  • You keep abreast of technical developments in your own field through study of the literature, and technical contacts, and propagate this to the other team members.

  • You take technological/process related improvement initiatives within the scope of the Hemodynamic software development group to further improve product quality and process efficiency.

  • You will actively contribute to the creation of the software (technology) roadmap of the Interventional Hemodynamic monitoring program of the “Hemo & SuiteIT” business team.

Your team

You will work within the IGT System “Hemo & Suite IT” business team in Best.

The “Hemo & Suite IT” business team is a small multi-disciplinary team consisting of 12 professionals responsible for the global interventional Hemodynamic Business within IGT Systems. You will work within a software development team of 5 highly skilled engineers working according the Agile Scrum methodology.

We are looking for someone with

  • Minimally Bachelor degree in software engineering or other relevant discipline with 5 years’ experience as software developer

  • Proven knowledge of C++ (version 2011)

  • Experience in SCRUM development process

  • Proven experience in root cause analysis/trouble shooting using the lean methodology

  • Experience in supporting a software product after release (maintenance phase)

  • Ability to work in small multi-disciplinary teams

  • Team player with good communication skills
