Essential job Responsibilities

Primary Objectives

The strategic pricing manager will be responsible for Abbott Diagnostics Benelux Commercial Operations, Strategic Pricing Management and Competiveness and the coordination of the tender and contracting process.

Top responsibilities

  • Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency in the commercial organization’s planning efforts. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functional roles

  • Drive commercial processes within the Region: Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed. Monitor & guide managers cadence processes.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.

  • Drive value creation activities: Levers that need to be planned and executed within the Region include price increase, asset management and establishment of contract compliance execution. Assure execution on value based pricing fundamentals and proper use of tools for deal modelling & approval (ie. Vpt, EPIC). Facilitate continous process of improving profitability on our current customer base

  • Responsible for Regional Sales Incentive Plans; Roll-out and execution

  • Responsible for the tender management process

  • Responsible for advising the sales management team on the appropriate pricing for specific opportunities by integrating information from the suite of pricing tools and market diagnostics

  • Responsible for contract development and implementation –working directly with the sales management team to create legally complaint contracts that meet both customer and Abbott objectives while minimizing risk.

  • Responsible for contract monitoring and compliance – Overseeing all contracts to ensure that terms are being met and efficiencies are being realized.

Educational requirements

  • Bachelor

  • MBA preferred

  • Fluent Dutch, French & English knowledge
