Janssen's Analytical Development department is responsible for developing methods that are required for analysis of viral vaccines for human use. Analysis includes testing for identity, quantity, potency, purity and extraneous agents safety.
We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team, and has experience with:
• Cell culture
• Cell-based assays
• Molecular biology assays; e.g., (Real Time) PCR
• Virus assays (e.g., virus titer determination) and/or microbial assays (e.g., sterility, mycoplasma, mycobacteria, endotoxin testing)
Preferably, he/she has knowledge of:
• Extraneous agents safety
The main tasks will be method development, method qualification and method troubleshooting. This may include collaboration with contract research organizations. Executing the experiments and reporting analyses are part of the core working tasks. Furthermore, several organizational responsibilities are included, such as arranging shipments, order materials, etc.
Note, the position will involve handling of biologically active substances.
We are looking for a motivated individual that fits in a multidisciplinary team, who enjoys lab work and lab organization.
BSc or MSc degree with 2 years of experience.
Experience in assay development, preferably in cell-based (infectivity) assays and/or molecular assays
Experience with working in BSL2 environment
Able to work and analyze data independently
