As a Principal Solutions Architect Optical Critical Dimension (OCD) you are able to speak and understand the language of software (SW) people. You will initiate and set a big footprint in progressing the software usability of our Yieldstar (metrology) systems. On the highest abstraction level the mission is “Develop PupilVision into the “I-Phone application” within the Metrology community”
As a Principal Solutions Architect (OCD) you will use your creativity to define key performance indicators of what “software usability” really means from a customer (metrology) point of view. Your creative and innovating ideas will be translated into software architecture requirements (functionality & flow).
You will align the technical needs with our key stakeholders (system engineering & architects) and propose & convince the in device metrology (IDM) program what kind of work packages should be executed in which sequence.
You will monitor and report on the progress and you will be pivotal in driving new applications. In the end your influence and effort will result in a big leap forward on software usability for our customers.
You have completed a Master or PhD level in any scientific (technical) field.
Experience: You have at least 8 – 10 years of experience in a research and development role in the semiconductor industry and therefore fully understands the complete wafer flow within the semiconductor making process.
You know what metrology is and where it is used today, on top of this you have a vision on what’s coming up in the future.
You have experience in the OCD world (= in a supplier role) at the interface between Development & Engineering (D&E;) and the customer.
You are affiliated to software related products and have technical know how about state of the art software architecture / coding etc. Besides this you have a proven track record of achievements in the iterative process of the life cycle of SW products.
You also have a basic understanding about other competences ( applied mathematics, hardware, system engineering etc.) needed to make such software products a success and you are able to align with all stakeholders.
Excellent communicator and stakeholder management;
Master in “influencing without power”;
Ability to condense complex matters towards a convincing / easy to understand story;
“Do” mentality going along with the ability to shape visions.
Context of the position
Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of the ASML products. The Product Group Applications provides integrated solutions with computational, metrology and control technology for extendibility and improved efficiency of lithography products.
Within D&E; Application the group CD (Critical Dimensions) applications covers the area of physics and mathematics development required to extract relevant metrics with required performance characteristics from the raw acquisitions, as well as the design, integration and test of new measurement functions enabling the necessary applications on and meeting the usability criteria of the metrology tool.
